I think "Good Love" is one of those songs that provided the best experience if you were actually there when it was released. At the time, it was very refreshing to know that Prince was still doing his thing and being his normal unusual and creative self.

But, looking back on it, I can see how someone who heard the song for the first time years later on Crystal Ball, for instance, wouldn't think it's that great.

But who said they don't like Pink Cashmere??? Pink Cashmere if nothing else is a music lesson in layering vocal work. Prince fans have gotten so used to hearing stuff like that from Prince that they often don't realize just how amazing it is to lay something down like that. The vocal work alone is so beautifully complex. And that's not even mentioning the closure of the song with the guitar and strings playing off each other. Talk to some musicians and they'll tell you that Pink Cashmere is the shiznit. It's one of those "only Prince can do" kind of songs and that's what I love about it.

I'm with you on this one, and I was also there when it was released (finally) -- I bought the soundtrack for this song, and was disappointed. Kinda got a Euro sound, don't it? I can't get into it.

Is there a longer or different version of Good Love on the
soundtrack than CB??? I've heard this, and if it's true,
I know where to get that soundtrack for CHEAP!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I bought the soundtrack just for the Prince song but fell in love with the whole thing. How can you beat an album with Prince, New Order and Depeche Mode on it???

Good Love is weird one...not one of my favs except the line about Cherry pie, apple kisses, everything is cool

i always placed Don't talk to Strangers(esp Chaka's version) in the same catagory with Open Book and Pink Cashmere...all very excellent...oh and lets not 4get Its About That Walk...kinda all sounds like it was around the same time, but i am sure someone will challenge this.
