Orgasm!!!!!!!! Ok, sorry just a sad plea for attention on a lonely Saturday night. Orgasm was better left off Come. Great guitar loses much punch out of context, Private Joy I think.

You can't Come without an Orgasm, right Just listening to Come the other day, and I came to some new conclusions for some reason... In letitgo, he sings about how he's not going to keep things bottled up anymore. Throughout the album he talks very candidly about sex, and then about racism, child rearing, and his emotions... I think he was equating his bottled up emotions, his muted voice, with that of pent-up sexual frustration. In that sense, orgasm was almost a necessary conclusion, because it led to release. maybe. I remember the page long review in Melody Maker... they called it a "cunni lingual concept album". Nice way to describe it. I was LMAO.

I always thought that the whole orgasm thing was kind of a metaphor for purging himself of his past. If you remember, it was the last album he did as Prince before he went to the symbol. It did seem like to was trying to get a lot of stuff out on that album, it had a real dark vibe to it. So given the whole orgasm-as-metaphor thing I think "Orgasm" just completes the cycle.

Yes, you and I are on the same boat here, but I feel the Orgasm is a release of himself, so to speak. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Orgasm by Sigue Sigue Sputnik is better!! In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream
