That said...LOVESEXY, without a second thought.

Lovesexy, even if it contained just the track itself.

Well there is only one song on TRC I like.."Everlasting Now" and there is only one song on Lovesexy I like.."Annastesia" so i guess it is a tie... NEITHER.

They're too different to compare. Lovesexy is the better
one when it comes to structural songwriting and the pure
party vibe. It's an uplifting gospel party. Exhillerate
and joyous.

The Rainbow Children is the better one concerning the
execution of the music. The whole album sounds warm and
alive. It's more reflective and introspective. The focus
is placed much more on the spiritual and the godly from
the view of a man looking back on everything that was
before and trying to redeem himself with his past in
order to go ahead and embrace a new future.

They're both unique statements and I think choosing one
over the other is quite impossible.

Overall Lovesexy has never been one of my top tier Prince albums, and it's only the fans on this site (and it does seem to go over big with fans overseas) who I have ever heard worship it as they do. Nothing wrong with that, to each their own. But I don't carry all the hangups about any era of Prince's professed religious persuasion that others seem to. If not for TRC I might have given up on Prince long ago.

Whilst I really like Lovesexy I'm with Supernova in that I find that is rated surprisingly high by orgers. I dont fully understand why because he has at leat 5-6 better albums.

I prefer TRC because of its warmth. It is more lush. I just enjoy it more.

Depends on my mood. If I'm in a light-hearted, playful mood I'm not going to play TRC and Lovesexy fits the bill perfectly. If I'm in an reflective mood or just want to hear some really great music TRC is my choice.

I can't chose, they are complementary. LoveSexy is a spiritual gospel trip, while TRC is a warm story set to music. Both are very spritiual, and in the mean time very relevant.
