Dr Fink: Still Practising Funk?

just heard some samples from his new album, UltraSound

and it's "so-so", "okay" ...but better than the crap Prince is putting out these days.

anyways...from his official site...

"...Since leaving the band [NPG] in 1991, The Doctor has been spending his time in his Minneapolis recording studio, StarVu, producing artists, music for video games, and soundtrack music."

and he's got a cozy little studio smile

"...Additionally, Matt is available for hire as a producer and or keyboard session player.
Please call 1-952-447-7708 for Project Quotes and availability."

Dr. Fink was always my favorite band member. I heard that Prince dropped him in a pretty cold way though. What I heard from a friend of Levi Seacer was that Prince suddenly wanted to go play the Rock In Rio concert, but Dr. Fink couldn't go for some reason. So Prince got someone else to fill in (Tommy Barberella?..I don't remember), and when they got back, he just didn't let Dr. Fink back in the band and just blew him off, even though he had been around for 10+ years...it just sounded cold.

Well technically Fink wasn't ever in the N.P.G, but I get where you're coming from.
Him standing out from the rest, though, is what made him so unique, I mean none of Prince's other keyboard players dressed as surgeons with sunglasses on did they?
...not to mention he's the quickest (and probably best) keyboardist Prince has ever had.

cool
