I still wonder how the hell Prince could ever comment on
PARADE as not being sure about the album, in that he did not have enough finished good songs to put on it. WTF?? He just took "Others Here With Us" "Old Friends 4 Sale" "All My Dreams" off it, and then says he didn't have enough good songs for the project? It's one of his best albums, amazingly though, cuz he took the best 3 songs off the final released product. Just goes to show how damned good he was at the time, truly inspired and without a doubt a time of greatness uncompared by anything since. The original "Old Friends 4 Sale" is one of the best compositions he ever recorded. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

Something about this song scares the shit outta me,,,its atmosphere, his moody singing and the dark/hauntcing lyrics.
The 93 version is a fluff but its good never the less. | |

It is unfortunate that his sequencing skills at the time were so poor. Luminous beings are we...not this crude matter.

This has always been one of my favorites, along with How Come You Don't Call Me. When I heard Pricne was making a piano cd, I washoping for more of this style. Raw and uncensored, but I found the cd he put out too polished and not as raw as those 2 songs. ______________________________________________
