Was she really naive or blind or what? I find it hard to believe that his reputation was unknown to her or that she remained oblivious to his extra-curricular activities for that long (years). She has to be a more intelligent woman that that. she knew about his reputation, but she didn't know about sheila, jill, and troy beyer until he sent her back from nice. She knew about his reputation, but refused to beleive it (  ), obviously she found out the hard way. so in this case, yes, she was EXTREMEMLY naive. she was warned, but whenever he pulled that "I've changed" thing on her she believed it, she wa sonly 19 when they started dating.
See, the thing I like about her is that she doesn't constantly complain about her time with Prince (unlike vanity, carmen, and nona), she was wanred, but went thru with it anyway. that's also the reason why wendy, lisa, and others don't seem to give her much synpathy when speaking about this subject. So in short, she knew about his reputation and was warned, refused to believe it (for whatever reason), and finally saw the light. Thanks for elaborating on the situation. It's too bad Susannah had to learn the hard way about Prince's proclivity towards unfaithfulness back then, but when someone really wants a relationship to work out or desperately hopes for someone to change, I guess they'll believe anything (up to a point) and give more second chances than they normally would, and especially so when they're as young as Susannah was then. And I'm sure Prince was extremely persuasive and charming when he wanted to be. | |

I am not condoning anything that has been said in here or how stupid the women are etc etc. But I think to know Prince and Love him there are certain things you would understand.
Making Love and Sex are two very different things and if the women can differentiate that then the relationship will last. He may have spread it around a bit but he always came back to make love to them. I guess it is all relative in terms of different people's ideas of faithfulness. Having sex is is just like sleeping, breathing, eating, drinking etc, just another bodily function. Making love is a whole other thing. Kinda difficult to explain but maybe someone will get what I am saying. In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream | |
