Severely Under-Rated - Dez Dickerson! I would say that he was one of Prince's best axmen. Absolutely better than Wendy and he could hold his own with Mico, Kat, ect.
He brought a nice hard-edge "rock" sound to Prince's funk that has never been replicated since. My favorite guitar solo in a Prince song, bar none, is the Dez solo in the extended version of "Little Red Corvette". The live stuff from 1980-1983 that I have with him have some SMOKIN' guitar from Dez!! He sounds like a true class act too! Soladeo | |

So in 80-83, what would Prince do on stage if Dez was guitaring-it all the time? Other than singing, was he not busting the axe?  ..... BULLSEYE!  | |
