To Know or not : Prince setlist

Curious as to whether you concertgoers like to follow the org and learn approximately what Prince is playing on a tour prior to him visiting your local arena or is it better to be surprised and hear him play without knowing the flow of songs. I will say the latter as I saw Prince in Calgary first with no expectations and did not have a clue what was going on with CGS, nor did I expect Let's Work or Purple Rain right off the bat. With the ONA tour I knew usually what song was coming up and some of the banter such as the drunk uncle dance. I missed the assumed spontaneity I would have encoutered with Prince inviting a member of the stage. Also , in favor of knowing the setlist I was once at a McCartney concert and got caught at the urinals in a big stadium when he started to play Yesterday, what a bummer.

I agree that it's better to have no idea of the setlist before the concert. The problem is that the temptation to check on the org is too much! smile

The worse thing is to go to a concert expecting to hear a song you really like, and leaving feeling disappointed that he didn't play it.

Definitely better to go with no expectations. Just don't go to the toilet during a performance!

"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

It's certainly better not to know. The surprise is part of the fun...same thing with a movie, imo...most previews ruin many movies because they essentially show the entire film before you even go to see it.
