We religiously follow the rules of The Org. I am not against religion per se. It is relatively harmless. When it gets harmful is when some-one tries to enforce their religious beliefs onto some-one else.

We all have opinions. Even humble me. Even arrogant me. But our opinions are just our opinions. They may not work for someone else.

Take vegans. I am not against vegans. It is quite a noble thing, in itself to strive for. But if a vegan tries to convince someone to live as they do, then there could be inherent danger. Sometimes, not always, vegetarianism and veganism are luxuries to those who can afford it. Go into a council estate or ghetto and try to make the inhabitants vegans, vegetarians or package-recyclers and the results might be less than positive. Why? Some do not have the time, the money or the resources to do this.

Keep mind and heart wide open does have downsides--you are vulnerable to hurt and criticism. However, as Kahlil Gibran said in "The Prophet" when asked about love: keep your heart open to the pain of love as well as the pleasure, for if you do not, you will laugh, but not all of your laughter, and cry, but not all of your tears.
