"Needed someone 2 talk 2, I hate it when I'm all alone. Contemplating suicide from 12 o'clock till dawn...If you don't call by Wednesday, there's no telling what I might do" This doubtlessly is a work-in-progress version of the unreleased 'Wednesday', sung by Jill Jones and present on the initial pressing of the Purple Rain soundtrack. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

Did I miss something? What is this from? Is this a newly circulating outtake or something? Color me interested... No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

It is not an outtake per se, since it isn't circulating as either a studio demo or a finished version. Your chance to hear it is as a rehearsal. Check out the piano rehearsal # 2 from 1983, and you will hear Prince singing what sound like very tentative lyrics at that stage. It is also the companion to unreleased songs like 'Cold Coffee And Cocaine' and 'Mama'. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."
