She's Always in My Hair

How freaking great is this song? Would any of you rank it as in your top 3 or 5 favorite Prince songs?

To me, this song has it all. The dynamic guitar, the mystical keyboards, the thumping bass, good drums. It has everything lyrically, too. Say what you want about Graham but, criminy, did he and P TEAR IT UP in Rave 2000 video.

Just an awesome song.

What's the history/meaning behind it? It was an ATWIAD outtake, right?

I read where people in Prince's camp who heard himfirst play it were just blown away it was so powerful at the time.

It wouldn't be in my top 10 or top 20 come to think of it...

but it's still a brilliant song, the guitar hook is just...drool

This is one song that I never get tired of. It's great. That says a lot when your b-sides can be counted among your best. And the live version on the Rave 2000 show was pretty sweet cartman

LOVE this song, especially the extended version. That and 17 Days are great songs to introduce non-P fans to the range of his work.

First time I ever took acid was at a nightclub, and this shit came on while I was dancing. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Of course, drugs are bad for you and I've learned my lesson. So, don't start with me.

This song F***in' ROCKS!!! headbang guitar

What's not to like about the killer guitar solos, double pedal drumming, and great lyrics of hope and obsession.

The Rave 2000 performance of this was not too shabby either, if you ask me.

I very good song, it would'nt be in my top 3 or 5. Rave 2000 live version makes the song even better.

This is one of those songs best done live, the studio version is good but there has been some great live deliveries of this gem in the past.

It's funny. I used to not care for this song, and would skip it when listening to the b sides CD. Now though, it's definitely in my top ten because of the extended version. It's a crime that it wasn't on ATWIAD. As much as I love Tambourine (another amazingly creative song), this song would've segued so perfectly from the end of Raspberry Beret to give perhaps his best one-two punch of any of his albums.

But for me, its gotta be the extended version!!
