I just got the song last nite and I'm listening to it over and over and over again. I love it! But still the lyrics, the whole point of the song I don't quite get. I have an idea, but I'm not telling it yet, in case I'm all wrong. I'm sure some of you guys have ideas:

Actually, the song is called 'Crystal Ball', not 'Expert Lover'. That's all I can say about it though

No need for bootlegs, it was officially released in 1998 on the 3CD set of the same name.

In reference to what the song is about, there's a whole bit in DMSR about it, very interesting.

Fills in the stuff about drawing pictures of sex on the walls. I think the rest of the song is pretty self-explainatory.

It's about a few different things.
As far as I knwo the 'my baby draws pictures of sex...' lines are about Susannah's mural painting in their house of,well...naked people.
As for the majority of the references to terrorism etc, I think it was just a comment on the state of the world at the time he wrote it.
