Anyone in the U.S.A.

OMG check out this link. Anyone wanting to boost up their collection, get stuff for friends all free and the terms all seem pretty reasonable if you are a music lover and buy CD's in general on a regular basis.

http://www.bmgmusic.com/c...rtyId=1692

I am in Australia and therefore cannot get them!! I have everything on vinyl but need to update to cd but cannot afford to do it all in one hit and this seemed like a great solution. Bugger Bugger Bugger - anyone in the US willing to get 'em for me?!!!

Nah it all looks good, you gotta buy one full priced per year and that's is your only obligation far as I can tell.

You still have to pay about 3.00 per CD for shipping and handling, and buy 1 at regular price which is about 17.98 + shipping and handling. For 12 Cd's this will come out to be about 54.00 plus tax...Still not a bad deal. Could come out to be about 5.00 per CD.

I just did this. You just have to remember to cancel it after you order your regular price one.

precisely, order the regular price one then cancel the membership quick smart. It does work out to a good deal. I can't see BMG being a shonky club like some of the ones that are around. BMG are a genuine distributor not some fly by night company.

You should heed Aarons advice, these clubs don't understand the words "I would like to cancel my membership".

Years ago I joined Britannia music club because of the really good introductory offer (yes, I fell for it, but only once). It was good for a while until they started sending out the wrong stuff.

Also you need to read the small print very carefully, some of these clubs send you out some 'choice of the month' crap and it's up to you to send it back (which costs postage) if you don't want it, which you won't, because it'll be crap.

I tried for about 3 years to cancel my membership, but it didn't work. I stopped sending stuff back. Luckily they didn't have my credit card details so it was a matter of 'trust' that I would buy what I wanted and send the rest back. Ha! The fools! I think in the end they got tired of sending stuff out and never getting any money in return.

I would not necessarily trust BMG just because they are a known distributor. I mean, do you trust their taste in music? They've signed more talentless crap acts than anyone since Stock, Aitkin, and Waterman (or Legion, Lucifer and Beelzebub as I prefer to call them).

Seriously, give it some thought. I guess these days they require credit card details, which means you can never escape, and you'll probably end up paying for rubbish you don't want.

You may end up with shit like this in your collection :

Your favourite hymns
Torville & Dean's Bolero and other performances
Dirty Dancing : The Tour
Boston Pops Orchestra plays Dylan

You have been warned! lol
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
