Too Many Prince Videos Just curious why there are so many P videos. I realize he started in 78 with I Wanna Be Your Lover and many were popular and seen by many in the 80s. But Prince in the 90s I understand has released vids to many of his songs, yet here in Canada I maybe have seen Gold,Dinner With Delore,Betcha By Golly Wow and My Name is Prince. P has released a couple vid packages with D and P and Symbol records. Does anyone have a list of 90s vids and does anyone ever see these vids? Are they phenomenol like Kiss, Alphabet ST and Raspberry Beret were. I even enjoyed his rarely seen 80s vids (Paisley Park, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad, Uptown). Anyone ever see a vid for Bambi?

Supposedly Bambi was only shown in europe. I think his best 90's videos were "18 & over" "Zannalee" "Empty Room" .

Prince supposedly spent a lot of money making videos that never saw the light of day or were only seen by a few people. Granted that a lot of them had low production values but after a while, that can add up to a lot of money. Add to the fact that these videos didn't generate any profit & you begin to wonder about his business sense.
I'd like to make up a list for you but there's so many that I don't think I even know all the ones that were made. Maybe someone else?

In the 80'ies, there were so many Prince videos because business was running fine and around 3 tracks of each album were released as 7" with a video promo clip.
In the 90'ies, there were so many Prince videos because he did not realize his shrinking success and his no longer exisiting superstar status.

Neversin posted a while ago that there are videos to most of the songs from all the albums from Come to Emancipation (correct me if I'm wrong Neversin). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Neversin posted a while ago that there are videos to most of the songs from all the albums from Come to Emancipation (correct me if I'm wrong Neversin). You're right... He was on a video recording sprea back in the '90's and I doubt he stopped actually... Almost every song on "Diamonds & Pearls", , "Come", "The Gold Experience", "Chaos & Disorder", "Emancipation" and most of "Crystal Ball" (including "The Truth") has a video, not to mention numerous unreleased songs have video's just for his viewing only I guess or maybe it's all part of his masterplan to rule the airwaves when he's dead... If he died his estate could release about 3 unreleased video's a year for I guess more than 25 years... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

Thanks for the list and additions everyone. I'm startled by all these videos, mostly unseen. I wonder, has any other artists have done the same. Maybe, like it was suggested he is trying to create his legacy, thinking these videos will be seen at a later date. It must have cost a ton of money. Also I bet most were done at Paisley Park , in order to save time and defray costs.

There was talk about releasing a video collection for Crystal Ball back on L4OA. Another half-baked unfinished/unreleased project to add the (huge) pile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
