Chaka did a open talk last night on CN8-I aint nevah heard a that channel before- but boy did she look good! she talked about wanting her next CD to be a ROCK CD yup you read it right ROCK Go on Chaka. She spoke highly of Miles Davis and once again said Prince was a genius and that she loved doing C2MH and that it was one of her favorites! Good show you could call in and people asked the questions from the streets of Philly!!

I read some excerpts from her book...I love the way
Prince tricked her into going to the studio. She
says she recieved a call, and a male voice asked her
to meet him at the studio...all along, she thought it
was Sly Stone. She gets to the studio, and sees only
a short man with a big afro standing there..asks, have
you seen Sly? Prince replies, Chaka, I called you.

I saw Chaka talking about this in BET long time ago,,,"It coulda been ugly, I came down there after a stormy, rainy, crowded LA night, my hair looked like I just came from a bad long flight and my mood is nothing to be messed with at all and here comes this tiny lil' brotha with the hugest afro telling me it was only a joke? Whew,,,chiiild *laughs hard* I still don't know HOW I 4gave him. All I remember was I curse that cat with every name in the book and he was staring at me with a goofy smile as if he's this close from laughing at my face *laughs* but he def flipped the coin, I was mighty impressed when he made me listen to his debut album. Eversince that night, we became friends altho I hate the fact that he started it by ticking me off *laugh*".
