actually, yes. but not because of anything MJ related. simply because he DID IT!!! DUDE'S IN THE HALL OF FAME!!! that's quite an achievement

Oh yes and that too ^^ Go Prince and I'm proud of Prince 4 that, even though he should've been in the hall of fame

I'm probably one of the older posters on the board. I can vividly remember back in the day when people thought Prince was just as bizarre as Michael because he refused to speak to the media. His silence often spurred all sorts of strange accusations about who he was and what he was all about.

Now, in light of all the MJ frenzy, and the fact that I'm not a naive teenager anymore, I can see why Prince was so tightlipped with the media. He was absolutely right to feed them with a long handled spoon.

Prince has done some phucked up things in the past, no lie, but nothing compared 2 this whole Micheal Jackson business. 2 think we sometimes bitch about the little things Prince do , but overall Prince has sense and a sane mind, which a lot of celebs seem like they don't have these days (mariah carey/whiteny houston).

I'm just thankful Prince ain't out there doing something crazy nod. Besides ticking his fans off, even 2 that I say out with the old, in with the new lol... I don't know how many times I've said it, but Prince truly is the greatest man, the greatest.

Prince had since enough NOT to allow himself 2 be put in these types of situations. If he wanted 2 do something 2 help children, he donated money said hello and shook a few hands. You NEVER have heard of Prince inviting children 2 sleep in his bed. If anything, he was inviting some honey 2 spend the night (18 and over of course).

Do you remember the time; when these rumours first surfaced 10yrs ago or so, It was at this time that MJ took a page from Prince's book and begun to show different artistic "directions" for his own work as well as other artists that he wanted to produce.

wether true or false these allegations were first used against MJ to tarnish his image that's for sure. Some of the ongoing accusations thereafter have been made by ppl motivated by greed -wanting to gain a quick fortune.

I really do not know what to believe, so far in my mind there hasn't been any real convincing evidence against MJ. Although the way he's carried on hasn't helped his case at all.

There was a story shown on Oz TV just the other day where the father of one of the alleged victims presented his case, he was a former business partner who went on to say that MJ still owed him monies from a previous business deal. I instantly discarted his allegations as soon as he mentioned this.

I like to tell people if Michael had hung w/Prince he could've been gettin 14/15 year old girls instead of boys and he wouldn't be in this mess.

No, not at all. Just because there are other artists as well that I wouldn't enjoy to be a fan of at the moment (or for quite some time lol) does not make it any better being a Prince fan sad

Maybe so, but she's still got her own little issues to deal with, like thinking or acting like she's from across the pond (phoney-ass accent)!!! Sheesh! LOL!

hold it. don't forget prince is as much a wacko as mike is. there is this thing called eccentricity, but they're both way past that. and don't judge mike already, for these recent allegations have not been proven to be true.

I have always thought prince was far better than mj,even b4 the mj alligations started 10 years ago.and as for the alligations.i dont know what to think.it could be someone out to make money and bring down michael at the same time but as they say "lightening doesnt strike twice" and there must be more to this whole thing.

I'm always glad to be a Prince fan. There may be many pretenders, but no one comes close.

Although I'm reserving judgement on MJ's guilt, I'd never wish to be among his fans, as I don't consider him a talent in the same league as Prince (or many others for that matter). Explain for me, if you will, exactly what MJ has done, since Thriller, that could be considered an extended repertoire and artistic growth. As far as I can see, he had a major album in the early 80's, recycled the same format 5 years later, and has done fuck-all ever since. Who really wants to see the same moves in the same stupid codpiece outfit again and again?

Aside from being a rich nut (and promoted as a cute and non-threatening black alternative to Prince, Rick James, etc. by the corporate media), what is the interest in this guy?

For me it's simply that he constructs his music better than anyone else. I love his voice and I love his songs.
