The London gig sold out-the venue was quite small anyway, but a lot of my friends who would like to have seen Prince tried after a few dys and there were no seats left. He is still a pretty popular artist with a reasonable fan base and although he might not be able to fill huge stadiums all around the world, he does fine in these smaller venues. I just wish he would have played some more dates as then the people who had never seen Prince before might have bothered with the journey. Its great to see loads of fans, but it would be nice to get some converts once in a while!

The answer is a definite YES. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he has more fans outside the US than inside.

Just curious, does anyone hear of Prince cancelling concerts because not enough tickets sold. This happened last year in a place called Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on the ONA tour, any others?

sure. Some "nude"-tourdates in Germany were cancelled in 1990 because not enought tickets were sold.

I heard the rumor about the canada show not selling out, but who cares...Prince still has an impact in most areas to sell out venues and he does sell out most shows in the USA and Overseas...
I think the lack of promotion is one reason for his shows not selling out if it didn't...because whether or not the music is a top seller in the stores...he will always remain one of the greatest performers of all time!

Thats his reputation for the most part...his stage shows are awesome!

Yeah but the venues are smaller.Arenas can be filled, he'd struggle to fil a stadium though with 40,000+.

What a cool pictures:

1 "Take Me With U" video
2 "America" video

Those are my two favourite vids!

It would be cool if he didn't sell out, and would be forced to only play the club-circuit ...
But in europe he always sells out ... for historical reasons I suppose ... to get the "I love the 80's" - feeling ... sick???

The first Oz concert sold out in 20min.

all other shows were declared as sellouts as well especially the 2nd shows in syd and melb through word of mouth.

funny thing is almost no promos for this tour.

Both Melbourne shows and the first Sydney show definetely sold out. I was at the mindblowing Sydney 24/10 gig and I could not see an empty seat in the house. Not sure about the second Sydney and the Brisbane gig.
