What's that sound in the instrumentals at the start of the
aftershow?

Is that a synth or what the hell is that? I love that love
man, the way it just spins totally out of controll and
calms down again a bit later is absolutely fantastic.

Is that Renato?

I usethe Nighttown disc to turn-on people to Prince.

It's an eye-opener to everyone who thought Rasberry Beret was the height of his career.

Psst:
Small club : 9/10
2nd show NightTown : 9,2/10
2nd show Bataclan 9,7/10 (Ican't wait 2 have a listen 2 this one) !

So how can you rate something that you haven't heard yet?

Dear Purple People,
indeed I was @ 2 of those adventures (Paris & Rotterdam);

"Small Club" has always been 1 & Only (just like TheOneUknow), and I have listened 2 it and listened and listened and...I know what U feel listening 2 that guitar - I know almost every little detail.

BUT what happened that morning in Paris and in Rotterdam is beyond all expectations. I tell U that having had a listening 2 NT with my headphones - note that the sound quality is not so good as the above-mentionned, and DO note that I do not advertize any bootleg at all: I'm just talking about xperiences and can we talk about bootlegs when there is no purchase but only "free" download (I mean the internet provider)
This can constitute my Ahdio Show of November 2002

Psst:
Small club : 9/10
2nd show NightTown : 9,2/10
2nd show Bataclan 9,7/10 (Ican't wait 2 have a listen 2 this one) !

This is a personnal evaluation, I didn't say It was the Truth.

I prefer Bataclan : Bataclan = Nt + Bass & Bataclan = NT + 45'

U know When I say Bass I mean BASS

One more thing: yes I feel like everybody here waiting 4 the box set, I'm very excited about that one despite having had a listen 2 a lot of ONA downloads.
What irritates me is the fact that I read a lot of complaints, how can u imagine that Prince can disappoint Us now that he has reached what he wanted 4 so long : Freedom.
Shame on him if he does That but do U really think he will, TRUST is what is all about.

Trust me the Bataclan show was very High spiritually, If i could listen 2 that download with the same sound as TheOneUknow sure it would b... let's say another "Small Club"

I don't like 2 talk about "the best" or "better" of this or that, but let me tell U that Prince is a guitar virtuoso, His guitar solos r @ the ultimate limit between natural and Surnatural.

HisNameIsMusicHisNameIsLovesexyHeIsTheOne

Welcome 2 The Dawn

P.S.
b sure 2 enjoy aftershow@ Marquee, Vega, Bataclan of the same year...

The 2nigs cd is awesome!!the sound is soo good for an audience show.this has been in constant rotation since receiving it.

Rd recently posted that he'd get "the back" of a p fan in a standoff.Well,if someone was threatening my 2nigsunited4rotterdam cd ,I'd turn into the bride from kill bill or the iron monkey from the iron monkey and git all up in dat ass!!

Saw the Bataclan show too, which was indeed amazing. Arguably one of the best aftershows ever, but still way below Small Club 1988 in my view. The reason is that the Bataclan aftershow is more "conventional" regarding the choice of songs, with a few (crazy) exceptions (many of which are bunched towards the end of the show). Comparatively, Small Club 1988 was much more experimental (People Without), plus it contains my favorite prince guitar solo ever (Just my imagination)

It is Renato playing his Clavia Nord Lead 2.
We had a chat about it afterwards...
