Glam Slam is my 3rd favourite song from 'Lovesexy'.
The ending alone makes it an excellent song. "Come a butterfly straight on your skin..." [This message was edited Fri Nov 21 12:32:47 PST 2003 by r1ghteousone]

I still think the single edit suits it.
And why ain't that on CD? The Let's Go Crazy and Batdance single edits aren't on CD either. They should've put those versions on The Hits or The Very Best Of rather than the album versions. In fairness, there should have been Batman tracks on The Hits and The Very Best Of as those were among his greatest hits, period. I love Glam Slam. I remember when I first got the Lovesexy album, I listened to this track over and over again. The melody alone is great (yeah, the video was great too, I agree with the person above who said that). RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I love this song - I used to put it on first thing in a morning to wake me up,it has that fresh, happy vibe about it.
But as a single? I don't think people got it. I remember UK dj Steve Wright playing it on Radio 1 when it first came out, they played it right to the weird end bit, then Steve said, "He's gone completely bonkers, hasn't he?" I'm sure that's how a lot of people thought, especially with the naked lovesexy cover on the album. Dance On would have been a great single instead.

I wonder if the Japanese CD single had the full length version of Escape on it? Does anybody know?

"i know i hold you too tight.." "glam slam thank U mam U really make my day" and the sound of the guitar is amazing too. i really am going to have to listen to lovesexy now!!!

I think the remix is credited to Junior Vasquez and the Latin Rascals. I may be wrong, but I think that this was the first released remix which was not (re)produced by Prince. I love Glam Slam too. Very under-rated single...
