i mean...would we be having vigils around the world for lil ol Princey if he was gravelly ill or in jail facing charges of, i dunno, over-preaching?
would 50 people be marching around Paris singing Purple Rain and then meeting at some symbolic landmark that respresented freedom and victory?
would we be to be doing something becuz of someone we don't even know?

some p fans are pretty crazy, but overall--not by a long shot. mj fans seem a lot more devout in the long run. i just read an article someone had posted up in the non-prince forum about some michael jackson fans holdin a vigil for 'im--one of the fans interviewed musta been really distraught over what's been goin on, cuz they said they hadn't eaten or slept for 3 days straight.

it's like, he's just a fuggin pop star, man, don't worry yourself...

judging from the threads and posts i've read from some people here...yeah, there'd be a lot of starving, tired prince fans. they'd be the same peeps that swore by the 1000 dollar ticket prices and the 'great quality' dvd and all of the other sketchy things ol' boy has done.
