Some questions about Graffiti Bridge

Okay, I bought Graffiti Bridge and watched it, and I've found it's nowhere near as bad as some of you have been making it out to be. But I have a few questions:

* Why is Morris Day the enemy again? Wasn't he on The Kid's side at the end of Purple Rain? I seem to remember him smiling and nodding when he was doing I Would Die 4 U.

* Do we ever see outside that one street set? It's like the world ends after that street.

* Since when are there five nightclubs on one street anyway?

* What's up with Aura? Is she supposed to be an angel or something?

* Why do people bag this movie out so much? The sets are a bit fake, yeah, but I just think of it as a really, really high-budget high school musical rather than a low-budget movie.

I still haven't seen UTCM. My friend has it on VCD, I'll try and see it as soon as I can.

lol. i dont know, big club areas in large cities have loads of bars/clubs on one row. but i suppose 5 full on clubs...

anyway the reason its only one street is cos of the lack of budget. when prince rides his bike he'sl literally riding it off the side of a stage they had so little budget!

They're only little clubs anyway.

Because somebody had to be the enemy. Wouldn't it have been cooler if Mavis Staples and George Clinton had been the bad club kingpins and Prince and the Time were united against them?

* Do we ever see outside that one street set? It's like the world ends after that street.

The world did end outside that street, it was only a set after all. Though you do see a short bike ride through the city and that 'bridge' in the country somewhere.

* Since when are there five nightclubs on one street anyway?

In central London I could easily walk to 5 clubs within a few minutes range. Some would be only as big as someone's living room however...

* What's up with Aura? Is she supposed to be an angel or something?

Yes, I think that's the idea. She's there to teach Prince to play good spiritual music instead of nasty funk. And she temporarily lives under the bridge. Like a troll.

* Why do people bag this movie out so much? The sets are a bit fake, yeah, but I just think of it as a really, really high-budget high school musical rather than a low-budget movie.

Because you expect a top rockstar to be making something better than a high school musical.

It was supposed to represent "7 Corners" the area in MPLS that his father played with his band.
