"I dont want to sing Satisfaction when Im 40"--posting when Im 40 so to speak Mick Jagger said that waaay back when--before he was even 30 I believe...as in he didnt want to be singing for the rock band when he was 40. He wanted to do other things that were dignified and lay th band and so called immature and undignified rock life to pass. Well he was mocked and semi scorned because when he was close to fourty he was still in the game doing it..he never crossed over into being anything but the greatest front man to the greatest rock n roll band on da earf...wayyy past 40 too. Some say they should have stopped after Some Girls and ended it then. But they were bigger than just a rock band evidently...
so I want to say, I dont want to be posting on Prince when Im 40..Im not close bit Im no spring chicken either. A lotof us aren't. Im not sure I want to be posting on Prince in prince sites etc even 3-4 years from now. Does it end..will it end? The Stones say "hey..the old blues men still tour " etc..but they have to usually for a decent living since they dont have the audience as the sometimes overrated...so is their honor in still doing what they do since they do it best and its still lucrative..I dont mind I think. Is it lucritive enough to continue these things such as posting etc...maybe as long as prince stays in the game there's nothing wrong with staying in the game as a participant in the websites and community, who knows. Some will leave some will stay and hang and some will become new fans and join up..it will go on and on...sor t of like the Stones...on and on, new fans, other sleave and quit like some band members(Bill Wyman)...and some can say you've already posted your relevancy ala' you've already did your Some Girls last gasp good posting etc...I dont want to sing Satisfaction when Im 40..it seems unfathomable... but I might--I dont think I will and I dont want to but...is it better to burn out then to fade away? . Well, the way I look at it...even when Prince is well into his 50's, there will always be something interesting to say about him. And as I still dig Dirty Mind and 1999...I'm guessing 10-20 years now I'll still be diggin TRC and NEWS. One thing about Prince; his music doesn't get old, it sets a trend that follows about 5-10 years later. Producers are just now, using techniques in the studio, that he used decades ago. He's always fresh, therefore, I believe his fan-base will be as well.
Years from now I probably won't be a Club member (if there still is a Club, hopefully it will, maybe won't even comment on the org. Yet, I'm sure I'll read the news section, to see what he's up to, and find out how I can get his latest creation. Blue Always... Blue

This is true. But I gues Im thinking, even if there is something to say about him later, can I, we, etc make it interesting stilll? Or can we still dredge up th e sincerity? I'm always gonna be writing something... here, there, anywhere. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32
