Which version are we speaking on? There are least three versions of it. All edited differently. The '98 version is around 9 minutes and when I first heard as most of the tracks on Crystal Ball, I was disappointed Prince had got his hands on it and made changes. My favorite version is the 11+minutes version with the "Purple Underground" speech.

i like it,but i don't even understand it.it makes no sense.yet,it's awesome.i;m not even talking about the lyrics.this is one of the craziest coolest songs ever recorded.the wierd/cool factor reminds me of Miles' On the Corner.In one of the versions,I can't remember the exact title right now because I was drinkinge arlier and went to see Cat in the hat.But this mMiles song makes you think he was on drugs or something,but it's cool,ya' know?
