Yes!!! The Lovesexy tourbook and video! Last Friday one of my co-workers (who is a former Prince fan) gave me a pristine copy of the Lovesexy tourbook, completely out of the blue. I remember being a young dude in 1988 and not having the money to buy it and now -after all these years- someone brings it as a present, yes!
Here comes the weird part: I had lost my copy of the Lovesexy video (that I recorded from TV in '88) a long time ago. I thought I lost it during one of the many removals I had. I now live at my father's place temporarily and the evening I received the tourbook from my co-worker I went searching for some candles and you know what I found, opening one of the drawers in my dad's house? Yes, the Lovesexy video! Ain't that a strange and cool thing??? In one day receiving the tourbook and finding back the long lost video? I watched the video this week and it brought back all those sweet memories. Lovesexy was a great tour: the stage design and all the theater, the music and the dancing, it was a fucking blast! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time... |

I remember sitting in my seat before the show started in 88 and thinking I would not rather be any place in the world then right there. When the "snare drum pounded on the 2 and 4," it was a night 2 remember... he was fucking amazing! ______________________________________________

I remember the Lovesexy Tour well. It was August 88 at Wembley and the first time I had seen Prince live. Totally blew me away and I've been to about 30 Prince gigs since. I remember the Lovesexy Live video was in non-stop rotation for about 18 months at my house. Great tour , great album , great video , great tour t-shirt ( the collage portrait ) but a very weird choice of cover photo for the tour book. I got tired of defending the guy for that one! | |
