MTV announced the Win The Under the Cherry Moon Premiere in Your Hometown Contest. After 2 Prince videos were played back 2 back, u had to dial 1-800-DIAL-MTV and be the 100th or 1000th caller. I sat in front of the TV ALL DAY long on a Saturday. Even missed a family wedding!!! Papa Don't Preach premiered that week, and it showed every hour on the hour. That bugged!!! (I was not then the Madonna devotee that I am today.)

So finally it happens, and Lisa something or other in Sheridan, Wyoming wins the fucking thing!!! BEE-Yotchh!!! (Sorry, nothing personal, Lisa. I'm sure u're a nice girl. But that WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE, DAMMIT!!!) Anyway, that's all end of story, right???

NOPE. The Gods were still smiling on me when Lucky Lisa won the kitty. Denver just happens to be the largest city in the vicinity of lil podunk Sheridan (ironically, my brother's girlfriend is from Sheridan, and he has to spend Thanksgiving there!). So the end result:
