'Lets Go Crazy' simply the greatest Funk Rock track ever. You know its true, dare to name me one track by Prince or anyone else for that matter [DONT name anything by Lenny K!]. It is sheer perfection , the intro, the groove, the words, the energy and the Revolution at their funkiest best. All hail this track and play it damn loud.

You got a point there. But an argument can definitely be made for 'Play In The Sunshine'.

Hi. This is my first post for today. I must say that it is one of Prince's all time greats and I it to death. But you'll have to ask yourself, "is it funky?". Sure, it may have some riffs here & there and a nice groove and whatever. But to me Let's Go Crazy, for all intents & purposes is ROCK & ROLL!!! It's a loud, hard and heavy sound, but it sounds like it was structure to be one of those old-school rock & roll songs from the 50's. I hear very little funk in that track if any. You might be able to hear more in the extended version. That's how I see it. Anyways, all hail one of Prince's all-time greats!!! "Let's Go Crazy. let's get nuts!!!" All I know is in hte summer of 84 at this party we all grooved to it along with Shackles on My Feet etc...I know it does sound crazy and it is a rock song but for some reason its still funky! The 12" version has more Funk in it than the album version. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Whatever it is i've always loved it.
The version he played in the Aussie shows was sensational. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Lol, maybe I've heard it too much but I doubt it ... I never play this track somehow, guess I think it just sucks. Btw, I have the same feeling about Partyman. Ugh.

I think the original version of Endorphin Machine craps on Lets Go Crazy.
While were are discussing, I think these are better rock/funk songs: Peach Electric Chair Bambi Same December Temptation I like it there .

While were are discussing, I think these are better rock/funk songs: Peach Electric Chair Bambi Same December Temptation I like it there ok...bit late to this discussion...but bloody hell...electric chair better than let's go? i like it there better?!?! let's go crazy is just the most uplifting, ball-blastingly brilliant rock track with a final guitar solo which rips through you like nothing else...simply awe inspiring...yeah, he's done musically better numbers (its not complex, but then it doesn't pretend to be), but let's go crazy encapsulates everything wonderful about prince... i'm off for a lie down...
