LOVESEXY !

my 1st p gig was lovesexy 88 london

did i get the message ? u kno the feeling u get ... etc etc.it was a very emotional gig 4 me VERY !,i missed the parade tour b'cos i simply never knew bout it until it had been and gone ! couldnt happen nowaday's with the org etc !!!i was also booked up for three gigs between 87/88 in paris and london which were either cancelled or i had 2 cancel myself (the 2 in paris were real sore points)

but... i made it 2 london 4 my 1st PRINCE concert lovesexy 88 wota great gig it was 2.i remember when prince got out the car at the beginning erotic city/escape thinkin f**kin made it at last (if u read my profile) u'll c i love music very much,ive been giggin 4, 25 years since 1978.but that p gig was SPECIAL !,i was so rapped up in it emotionally b'cos i'd missed several gig's i was almost at the point of thinkin man i'll never c p in concert !.

i wont go in2 the whole gig ,but wot i will say is this after the show i was emotionally drained/happy, (delirious almost) no bullshit , i was with my cuzzin neil ,(he made the paris gigs by the way)i remember feeling really special that night ! i was standing outside wembley sayin 2 neil wow ! wot did we c 2nite ? wot was it all about etc !it certainly was'nt just bout music ??? was it ???

ive seen fans talk bout these gigs b4,documentaries etc talkin bout god is love and love is god etc and how p managed 2 get the fans chanting this without blinkin an eye !i dont know if it was just my emotions playin with me , but i'll never 4get how prince made me feel that night ,"it wasnt the feeling u get when u fall in love not with a girl or boy but the heavens above"... "i dont know what it was"

I know exactly what you're saying. I felt the same way when I saw the Lovesexy tour in Oakland, California, in November '88. At that point, he'd been doing hit-and-miss type concerts since early '85 -- so it'd been awhile since the States got a good show from the man. Wow! What an experience. Like I said, I know what you be talking 'bout!

Funny thing, when a whole crowd of us got on BART (transit system) to go back home, EVERYONE was in a daze! It was definitely an emotional whirlwind -- not just a concert.
