oops! sorry for that brief interlude lol but they played Do Me Baby and they have been playing it as of late almost on the regular Do Me Baby--the album version..is Princes greatest ballad. Fuck Adore. This was th e orignal panny dropper so to speak and the sound, while cheesy strip joint piano etc, is heaven. The vocal..I hate what he has done with it live...but the Do Me Baby is where he learned to freak the slow jam and he did it on this one first and did it here on Do Me Baby best... god it sounds so good...esp on the radio, oh oh on the radio radio radio... do me baby is the one adore is beautiful but do me baby rocks hard prince put everything he had into do me baby

"Do Me, Baby" is Prince's best ballad ever.
"Adore" is over the top, and appreciated only by the die-hard fans, for good reasons. Prince listened carefully to Bootsy Collins' "Creepy side" (which isn't a song, but that's how Bootsy adresses his phychodelic-ballads) when he wrote this outstanding ballad. Listen to Bootsy's "Munchies For Your Love" and you'll understand what I mean. I love the early live versions of "Do Me, Baby": "Once I start Lovin' you baby .. I'll never stop" "Do Me, Baby" is the last real ballad Prince recorded. The later ballads have this weird feeling, mostly over the top. Seems like Prince agrees with me to some level ... "Do Me , Baby" is one of the most frequently played songs live!

Au Contraire. Adore is way better. Prince sings with more conviction and confidence on that track. Do Me Baby is just too whiny. And that ending, oh god. I love Do Me Baby, but Adore is perhaps the greatest love ballad EVER! I Think that's the first time, I disagreed with Rd. Blue "Yeah I said it!" If you got a good enough sound system and the right mood, by the time he sings "Here we are..." you can get the pannies to drop. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

'Adore' is great (everyone knows that)... but
it can't touch 'Do Me, Baby'. His vocal is still what i think to be one of his best ever Do Me, Baby Here we are in this big ol' empty room Staring each other down U want me just as much as I want U Let's stop fooling around Take me, baby, kiss me all over Play with my love, ooh Bring out what's been in me 4 far 2 long Baby, U know that's all I've been dreaming of Do me, baby, like U never done before Ooh, give it 2 me ‘til I just can't take no more Come on and do me, baby, like U never done before Ooh, I want U now, I just can't wait no more, can't wait, oh Here we are looking 4 a reason 4 U 2 lay me down 4 a love like ours is never out of season So baby, please stop teasing me Ooh, what U do, I can never love no other U're the best I ever had, ooh Whenever we're not close 2 one another I just want U so bad So do... (do me, baby) do me, baby, like U never done before Ooh, give it 2 me ‘til I just can't take no more Come on, do me, baby, like U never done before Ooh, I want U now, I just can't wait no more I said, "Ooh... ooh... ooh... oooh!" (Do me, baby) Yeah (Do me) Do me, baby, honey, yeah (Oh, give it 2 me) Oh, oh, oh, oh! (Do me, baby) (I want U now) Yeah, yeah, yeah, ...! (Do me, baby) (Oh, give it 2 me) (Do me, baby) Do me, baby, don't wanna do it all alone (I want U now) Yeah! (Do me, baby) (Oh, give it 2 me) Oh yeah (Do me, baby) This feeling's 2 strong U make me wait 2 long (I want U now) Oh, U ain't leaving me no choice OK, what are U gonna do? U just gonna sit there and watch? Alright, ooh, mm Are U sure U don't wanna close your eyes? Well, isn't it supposed 2 take a long time? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over Ooh! Help me! Oh! Ooh! There... OK... OK Uh... oh! I'm so cold Just hold me, oh

And, while he snatched a little sleep, it opened and shut.”

oh shit I just noticed the mentioning of cheez up above... when I watch my prince concert vids and get to do me baby it's that cheezy slow feel that makes me usually fast forward thru the song... way too slow !!! of course nice in the bedroom... respect will be given where respect is due and I'm sorry but when I hear adore on the radio I'm groovin moreso than when i hear do me baby ... .. listening to do me baby in the bedroom and having sex is excellent be it radio or cd !! i get the chance to take it slow and get my cheez on “A poor man waited a thousand years before the gate of paradise. And, while he snatched a little sleep, it opened and shut.”

'Do me baby' beats 'Adore' with a couple landslides.
I really dislike Adore. Really. I do. Add to that, everytime I hear the song, two people from the 'Beautiful strange' video pop up inside my head. The first is the young woman singing the chorus a 'bit' off-key. The second is the big momma who states she 'chose Adow fow ma wedding'. Aaaargh.
