Eastern Vibes

Most of his songs with eastern vibes are pretty excellent:

However Much U Want

Somebody's Somebody

The Greatest Romance

My Computer

7

Standing At The Alter

Thunder

and in a way, I guess "The Max" might qualify.

Can anyone think of any others?

Ah, yes, fcuz, how could I just forget "East" there smile

I'm thinking about making a cd with all those eastern
sounding tracks on it.

Tho, perhaps that's a bit of an overkill, I'm not quite
sure. I'll just wait and see how it turns out.

"Love4OneAnother" on the GCS album has a great eastern
rhythm at the end of it.

So does "The War" in a way, the drumming is near tribal
but also quite eastern in a certain way.

I guess you could consider Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

If you have it, you could also include the instrumental piece that was played live as the prelude to '7' - first aired, I think on the Act I tour.
ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I can't think of anymore off the top of my head, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. You know, "Raspberry Beret" has a little bit of an eastern vibe.

I guess I'm thinking more 'middle-eastern' than 'Eastern'.

It's on Mayte's album, it's a duet with her and Squiggle.

He also recorded it for the 1992 symbol album where he
takes most of the vocals.

So it's an album track, as well as an outtake.

You haven't heard the Mayté album?! :O

Haha, well, it's not so good anyway,
but as usual 95% of the tracks are
penned and played by said Squiggle &
His backingvox are on a few plus the
duet HoweverMuchUWant.

It's reminiscent of "7" in a strange
poppy way. But faster and trippier &
more sugarcoated and silly and daft
and yet somehow, more enjoyable nuts

Anywho. Check out some of the tracks
on her album if you can manage to dl
some of them. A few of the outtakes
from that album are also pretty nice.

My fav is "Ain't No Place Like You"

And ehm, "Broken Wings" ain't on it.
That was one of her early singles.
