The Syracuse is excellent of course. But I think my copy of the Beautiful Ex. is a bit better since its a copy from the Japanese TV master. It also has the T.M.B.G.I.W. remix video as an Easter egg bonus.I'd still recommend it.I don't have the Love4Oneanother DVD.

The Beautiful Experience one is pretty good. Its from 2nd generation VHS so don't expect a lot since thats the only format it was circulating in. The picture is good, and the sound is pretty damn good.

Love4oneanother is from 1st generation TV recording so at least here you're getting a direct source, again its VHS, but I'd say its better looking and sounding than TBE.

Thing is though - why bother making a whole heap of DVDs if they aint gonna track down a superiour 1st gen copy on video at least? 2nd gen? That's a bit sucky.

Dude, I totally agree with you. I'm picky as hell when it comes to quality. But thing is, its nearly impossible to find the person who has a 1st generation of it thats WILLING to allow someone to copy it to DVD. Ppl are just tight asses about it, either that or they just don't care to have it put on DVD because its too much trust or labor. Who knows, but VHS bootlegs are out there because ppl dub them, and give them to ppl so the best you can get is 2nd generation most of the time.

Besides, VHS is completely inferior to DVD quality..obviously. So even a 1st generation VHS master won't really look that great anyways. I'm so spoiled by the laserdisc to DVD transfers, its hard to get use to the VHS to DVD ones.sad

Furthermore, its fans...like you and me...doing these titles so I guess you can't really expect much. I do wish a bootleg company would do these like Thunderball, they had endless amounts of resources so they could track down the best quality for stuff, which they did!! Too bad TB is gone now sad Sab? I don't think is too into doing them right now unfortunately. Premium..ouch!! No way!! I hope not, with their crappy CDr releases!!

Speaking of DVDs , has anybody been lucky enough to get any P-Funk DVDs? They're fan made like the Brave releases and are just excellent.Cool menus & easter eggs, extras.Awesome!!I wasn't much of a Parliament-Funkadelic fan but after seeing the Earth Tour from 1977 I have been converted!!I guess I got shot by the Bop Gun!

Pops, clicks, static on most of there releases. Probably burning CD to CD instead of from the HD. Oh and the quality usually stinks for their releases. Sab's releases of the same shows ALWAYS sounds better like that new Winnepeg/London aftershow 2CD set. Much better than Premium's releases. The only good part about Premium is they release stuff VERY quickly! Sab always lags behind, but its for good reasons since their stuff always sounds better.

I have a first generation of the beautiful experience I taped myself from television.

if anyone in the UK wants to convert it to dvd let me know.

I am sick of these shitty dvd conversions I see too.
