What a day!

I just want to thank Michael for making a wonderful convention and all that was there.
The bands, the dancers, everything was so good. bow

It was so fun to hear and see the guys from Uptown and Ben. A big thank you to Ben for being there, I think it’s amazing that you never get tired of Prince and prince-fans!
Love to all, especially to the girl who let us sleep in her apartment!
hug

I`d love to hear about the convention.
I am sad not having been able to attend it.
I can`t wait to hear any reports.
Thank you in advance.

We need stories. Hello?
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I’m not good at writing reviews and in English; there is some at Housequake with photos.

But I give it a try:
I took an early flight down from Stockholm with two others. The day followed the program on the home site pretty well.
We started with some discussions and lunch, and there was a screen showing live shows, videos and interviews. That was fun because some you haven’t seen and others was fun to view on a bigger screen.
We then had a competition when a guy played instrumental music and we had to guess what he played. It was really hard, but I guess it had to be with all hardcore fans that were there. smile
After that the guys from Uptown talked about staring the past and future of Uptown and more, that was fun and interesting.
Ben, who came after, talked about the history of prince.org and so. Also great to hear and interesting. I only wish I thought of some good questions.
Then there was a panel discussion on stage about the industry and ways to distribute music, that was interesting even if you not a musician. But I was getting little tired now so it was good that we then broke for dinner.
After that they played radio interviews from different person like Shelia E, Chaka Khan and so on.

Now it was time for us to go and unpack our sleeping bags so we left for awhile with the girl who apartment we where going to sleep in. It was nice to get some fresh air and change clothes too.

When we got back the disco had started and I must say just to hear prince music on a disco with good speakers and loud (but not too loud) and good dj was fantastic.
Then came the live acts: Glam slam was first out and they where great! I haven’t heard them before but they really could play!
After that there was a really good and professional dance show.
And just when we didn’t think it could get any better Hofstone got on stage, they was really, really good. And I loved that uptown cover in the end!
After them Glam slam got on stage again and they was good again but now I was getting really tired so it was almost nice to find that the clock was 3 o’clock.

In all it was a good experience and good organized. I only wish I wasn’t so shy and had talked to more people but I had a good time and dance the night away!
