Lately I've been seriously thinking about sellling my Prince collection, mainly because I want 2 get a Cloud Guitar. How much do U think I could get 4 it? This is what I have:

*Over 50 posters (mostly promotional posters)

*ALL officially released cd's (including the Black Album, the Gold Experience, One Nite Alone...Live box set, etc.)

*Bootlegs(live cd's, live VHS, live DVDs, all known studio outtakes in circulation)

*Associated Artists cd(including Jill Jones, the Family, the Time, Eric Leeds, Madhouse, Vanity 6, Rosie Gaines)

*Every UPTOWN issue and all the books(Turn it up, Turn it up 2.0, Days of Wild-with cd rom, A documentary, DMSR)

*Various cover story magazines (like old "Right On!" magazines, Black Beat, Fresh, Rolling Stone, Spin, People,Guitar World, Bass Player, Notorious,Etc.)

*Variouse Books (Possessed, A Pop Life, Imp of the Perverse, etc)

*All the Tour Books (except Diamonds and Pearls and Jam of the Year)

*T-shirts (from 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, Sign o the Times, Lovesexy, Nude, Diamonds and Pearls, Symbol, the Gold Experience, Emancipation, Rave)

*the Rainbow Children 5ft cardboard stand-up photo of Prince in Green Sweater

*Silk Emancipation orange flag

*Pictures my dad took at the June 7, 1986 Cobo Hall show.

*Morris Hayes' autograph from the Nov. 25, 2000 Hit N Run show in Nashville, TN

*Various magazine and newspaper clippings

*Original page that was hand drawn 4 the Prince "3 Chains O Gold" comic book

That's all I can remember right now. Could I make a pretty penny from this stuff? I really want that guitar. Peace!

Well, I did enter the contest, but I still haven't heard any results from it. But if I have 2 forfeit part of my collection 4 it, then I'm willing 2 do it. I really don't want 2 wait until I get my income taxes though.

You could probably make quite a lot of money on it, especially if you sold it on E-bay. The only problem is that it´s usually hard to sell a collection like this as a whole (since the people who might be interested are usually collectors themselves and have most of the stuff already), so be prepared to put a lot of time and effort into selling it one item at a time if you want to make good money.
