SPEAKIN' OF THE GOLD EXPERIENCE .....

4 some reason... the Prince album I'm feeling 2day is the gold experience. I haven't listen to it in a while, so I decided to lay off the neptunes 4 a while and give this CD a spin... I almost 4got how much I love this CD.

My favorite Tracks R Of Course:

Pussy Control
Endorphine Machine
We March
Dolphine
Most beautiful Girl in the world
Shy
I hate u

least favorite
Billy Jack Bitch

I notice something wierd about my gold experience CD. When you listen 2 it on Media Player, and it brings up the info on the album it says the Artist is Symbolic three instead of Prince and I was just thinking, this is the time when Prince was known as Tafkap, but I ain't never heard nobody call him Symbolic Three lol. Anyways I was just wondering, is there a such thing as a studio version to the gold experience ? Cuz I have a studio version of Shh with Prince singing it, instead of Tevin Campbell and I was just wondering if this studio version ever exsisted ? Now let's get back to the point of this thread...

What are ur favorite tracks from the gold experience ?

I'm confused...

Are you talking about the song Gold? If you have the album, you have the studio version...

The version of Shhh on the album is also the studio version, with Prince singing.

You may have a boot called The Gold Experience which came out when the official album had the release date 'never'. This boot was a horrible mish-mash of live/studio versions of the tracks when the tracklist was known. On this boot, I believe Shhh was live (from the Beautiful Experience TV show), and Gold was semi-live (Prince singing over a PA-system playing the studio version). If this is what you have, send it immediately to Ohio and pick up the real thing - infinitely better than anything you have there...

I have the live version of the whole gold album. You know the one that was released by warner bros.

I bought it when it first released in store sometime back in 95'... I was kind of turned off about it, because it was the live version instead of the studio version. I remember back in the days here in Detroit , the radio use to play this version of Shhh (no it wasn't tevin campbell's version lol) and it was the studio version, I thought this was going to be on the CD and it wasn't.Also I have the beautiful experience maxi single with all the different mixes, I thought the studio version of tmbgw was going to be on the gold experience LP and that wasn't.So that's why I was asking, if there's a studio version 2 the whole gold experience album ?

There was no official WB release of a live Gold album. You got a boot honey smile

I love this album to death. I'll never forget how out of left field Pussy Control was on the heels of Come.

For some reason I just cannot stand P Control. I find Prince's voice in the chorus unbearable.

On the other hand, Shhh is one of my favourite songs of all time. Way too sexy, great lyrics "...crackle of the flame, will just spoil my flow" and the guitar solo at the end has often caused me to weep.

I also love:

*Shy for its uniqueness
*319 for being just a great pop tune
*Billy Jack Bitch for its old school Minneapolis groove
*Endorphine Machine (although I hear previous versions are better)
* I hate U ...classic Prince and tremendous emotion in that last guitar solo

Peace
