Sign O The Times DVD (Spanish)

I was at Best Buy the other day and came across a Sign O The Times DVD that had an "IMPORT" sticker on it. All text on the package was in Spanish and the cover photo was a Purple Rain tour photo. Then there was another Purple Rain-era picture on the back. I decided not 2 buy it, thinking it was either fake or poor quality. I hope I did the right thing. Has anybody else seen anything like this?

I have it.

It's an official release although evidently Prince isn't happy with it. The quality is relatively poor. The picture is kind of dark and the audio has a few glitches in it.

I've had it for like a year and only watched it when I first got it.

I think you'll find it's the Brazilian version that has got a bit of a slating since it's release.
So it would be Portugese on the text.

YOu did the right thing, thats the Brazilian DVD of SOTT which was taken from VHS. It sucks ass! You're better getting the Brave release which was ripped from Laserdisc.

I don't think Prince authorized it, hence why he was asking everyone to send back all of them "unauthorized" releases WB did released. I guess WB had something to do with that SOTT release. I don't see how since the film was released by Univeral in the first place. I don't know the specifics though.
