I think this is a knock-out tune (superior to Do It All Night and the Dirty Mind title track) and would have enjoyed its inclusion on The Dirty Mind record, somewhere on the first side. Anyone agree or know why it was relegated to a Bside.

I made a copy of my dirty mind cd and included Gotta Stop Messin About and Irristible Bitch..


It was already perfect, just wanted to hear these two also when jammin to that album.

Gotta Stop was originally an A-side.

I think Prince recorded and released Gotta Stop as an A-side to get some airplay ...

If they ever remaster this CD,I hope they will add "Gotta Stop Messin' About" and "Lisa" as bonus tracks.

I have a worrying feeling that if 'Gotta Stop...'
was included on the album it would end up being my favourite track on the whole thing.

i got both 7in pic sleeves. didnt chase the 12in's as the track is same as 7in.

Oh well. It showed up on "The Hits/B-Sides", so I was finally satisfied.
