This is a stellar version. I have really good versions of The Ride and Race, recorded at aftershows on the same tour. Amazing performances and amazing sound quality. Let the org notes begin.

I love this show and this version, BUT...4 me - the version recorded at the Camden Palace aftershow in 1988 is just unreal...his vocal on it is just nuthin short of breath-taking. Im really not kidding.

It's my fave boot show by far, God, I cant say enough about this version except that the way he wrings every last drop of emotion from his vocal and his guitar is just inspired.

It REALLY moves me...
touched

U heard this show Boonster? music

Prince was on top of his game that night. Especially on that song. It would be a crime if this show never got taped.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yes ...

I'm really sorry ... the best guitar-solo ever won't be a Prince one.

There are at least 2 shows of him performing that song and both were great.

Paris June 14 1987
London July 25 1988

Hmmm makes you wonder doesnt it. How did a perfect sound board quality recording of this aftershow make it to the market and become one of his most famous boots? If i were a cynic (which I am) Id say the little purple one had this one released himself. He realised how shit hot he was that night and decided to let his fans get a peice of it.

In fact it wouldnt surprise me if prince put out a lot of the best bootlegs. Despite what he says about bootleggers, these boots go a long way in creating and preserving his legend for his own prosperity...just a thought
