multi-hall of famer could prince get in hall of fame multiple times.
I'm not saying he will, but could he get one for just Prince, one for prince and the revolution, one for Prince and the NPG? I won't touch the O)+> thing. Prince would be 2004 prince and the revolution would be what? 2009? PR in '84. prince and the NPG, 2013. Or is it all the same shit with Prince.

The Yardbirds, Cream, Jackson 5 and The Beatles came in as a group nomination while MJ, Paul, John and Eric Clapton are in as solo artists (and soon to be George, favorite with Prince for Class of 2004). among others. With that said, the other side of the coin. George Clinton and P-Funk All-Stars, aka Parliament-Funkadelic. Uncle Jam and Sir Nosze D'voidofunk are all in, but since George has done stuff on his own as well as put out stuff under Funkadelic and Parliament and Parlet, then you would think George has an equally great chance of being selected as a solo artist or with another P-funk band. But I think not since Parliament-Funkadelic are in as an entire unit. I would like to see The Revolution as much as you do, and there might be a great chance. Time will tell, first things first. ... I think that they are just an extension of the Prince Persona. He was nominated and will be inducted that covers and should cover the alias, pseudonyms, nicknames, bands, girlfriends, wives, pets, logos and items of clothing. The question is or should be, if The Time and Sheila E will get in. Oh and Wendy and Lisa? Maybe? The Time, they were a part of the Minneapolis sound.

However, while Prince and Prince and the Revolution are both shoo-ins, there is no possible way that Prince and the NPG would ever be considered for such an honor. Their body of work pales in comparison to the music that preceded it, both commercially and critically. Likewise, while George Clinton could be lauded for his work with Parliament and with Funkadelic, what has he done, really, as a solo artist, other than Atomic Dog, that he hadn't done a dozen years before? No solo nod for George.

Does anyone know the date the nominees will be announced? I guess we won't hear any plans from Prince & Co. until after the nominee announcement then Prince can use it to ride a wave of publicity. Get that big boost from being a 2004 nominee and then time your projects & announcements to culminate with the Hall of Fame ceremony & a new cd release. Should be a big purple spring & summer.
