I like this more than "Kiss" it is probably the funkiest Jam on the LP.

also what the hell is wrong with "Mountains?" I have seen alot of U folks busting on that song. It has some of Princes most poetic Poetry ever.

I don't know. I personally love it, Susannah's voice adds alot to it, IMHO. Then again, that might be the reason why some dislike it.
on a semi-related note: anyone else think he's talking about himself in this song? certainly sounds like it, lol.

As far as "Mountains" goes, I've heard someone say it's too repetitive. It's also heavily influenced by Wendy & Lisa, and some people just detest them.

I find "kiss" to be very overrated, completely out of place on a perfect album, and somewhat boring.

"Do U lie" and "Sometimes ..." are the weaker tracks on Parade

I've always found Anotherloverholeinyohead a pretty arrogant, smug song in subject matter and attitude - unless Prince is sending himself up or putting on a character's role (is he?) - but it's hella funky. Would be great live.

BTW, don't you hate it when Prince tries 2 do a crowd singalong and the audience doesn't know the words? It's in the video for Anotherloverholeinyohead, at about the third chorus:

Prince: U need another lover...

(cups hand to ear, holds out mic, smiles, gestures to crowd)

Crowd: (silence)

Also, unbelievably, during Purple Rain on the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 video, tries 2 get the crowd 2 singalong to "Purrple Rain, Purrple Rain..." and there's dead silence... how could u go 2 a concert and not know the words???

Who hates this? No-one I know, it's one of his classic tracks, silly boy with his silly Parade singles, it could have been one of his classic all-known tracks instead of a sleeper hit.
