Forgot to mention that there are too many shots where camera men are in shots. NOT very professional at all!!! You want to make it look like you're at the performance when you're watching it at home...thats the illusion home video releases like this what you to experience. Okay, thats it smile

even watching U2 elevation live dvd on my "computer" you'd swear u were there !!!

I really don't see whats so louzy about it?

It looked fine to me, I pretty much enjoyed all the pre4mances(with the exception of Nikka Costa's). The band was tight as hell, however the crowd was a lil' spaced-out.

LOL I didn't expect another Sign O' The Times movie concert lol but I pretty much will enjoy this 4 now!

Oh and um,,,the visual quality looks alright to me,,,since some o' ya'll were buggin' about it 4 the longest!

What yo beef with the DVD, ya'll?

Holla

I agree with you. I really enjoined the Vegas concert. Maybe just the haters didn't like it! nod nod nod

There a bunch of geeks. Who are more concerned with the picture quality than the music. However, these are the same people who will run out and buy a bootlegg recording with a picture 50 times worst and rave about it.

Keep in mind that this DVD is being played on Direct TV.
Therefore, someone at this company must have found the picture suitable.

It is very obvious that some of us are missing the whole spirit of the performance. It is obvious that the production was designed to give the viewer the feeling of being at the concert, bootleg by design? Who cares?

This is what happens when we focus more on visual than audio.

Let's not forget that recordings were originally done for the purpose of giving those who never had the opportunity to witness an artist's live performance a chance to at lease hear it.

How many notes did Jimi play out of tune on New Year's Eve at Fillmore East in NY? Who the hell cares? If you do, than you're a geek.

Yes,they are geeks. They do not realize that this is Prince org not DVD org.

You people crack me up.You clearly dont know the first thing about dvd quailty anything. This is by far the worst looking dvd by a big name person EVER released. No wonder they gave away the rights to directv.

It has NOTHING to do with the performance people.Dvd quailty IS'NT subjective, its a STANDARD.And this so called dvd comes NO WHERE near that standard.Uh and I've seen bootlegs with 50 times better quality and VHS tard.Hell I even went back to the old ass Prince live VHS and it looked as good and how old is that now lol...exactly.

Ill say one think P sure is on a roll for shit releases lately.Pretty soon he'll only have the handfull of blind fools in this thread to shell this kinda crap out to,cause I know this boat wont float with whats out there today on dvd in real quality.Even shit artist manage to put out way higher quality product.

Let me guess I suppose youre so ungeek ,you wouldnt even wanna hear a 5.1 dvd audio cd done by him either.COurse youre probably as death as you are blind so Im guessing it wouldnt matter.

Im glad directv is showing it for FREE every 4 hrs.THat way NO ONE will buy this crap and encourage the production of worthlessness like this...

I paid $15.99 for the Vegas DVD and I think it's fantastic. I also have the Rave DVD and I think that's fantastic too. Isn't the whole point of these DVD's though 2 hear the MUSIC with accompanying pictures? Could you walk away from the screen and still listen to the music and be happy with it? After all it was Prince's MUSIC that got you interested in the first place right? Or was it those flashy sequinned jackets? (wink wink ahem! wink So a couple shots are blurry and there are cameramen in a few of them. Even if these things weren't there I'm sure some of you would STILL find things to bitch about. Just enjoy it for what it is. The man doesn't have a major label behind him anymore and for what making a DVD costs these days, we're lucky it turned out as good as it did.

Did someone hurt your feelings hhdtv00?

Would you rather hear Jimi play live on a Sears Silvertone, or Millie Vanelli prerecorded on the worlds most sophisticated digital recording device?

I dig the Vegas DVD...

I would have liked...

A) More...
B) Prince playing the Bass, which you see short stills of.\
C) Rainbow Children (the song)

I just got a Japan bootleg DVD, and Rainbow Children ROCKED. The concert is at the International Forum, and Prince starts off on the drum kit.

G.

Dammit, I love the Las Vegas DVD and I'm not ashamed to say it. It was superb in my opinion. I felt my money was well spent. That band is funky as hell and Prince put on a damn good show. All of my friends enjoy this performance, but my "old school" friends REALLY get their ass into it. (that probably has alot to do with Prince putting that old school funk feel into it). NO ONE commented on the so-called poor quality of the DVD. We didn't give a damn. We were too busy dancing. (we also didn't give a damn because IN OUR EYES, the quality wasn't bad at all)
