This may have been discussed at length already ... if so, ignore me

I visited Hollywood last month, and was astonished to discover that Prince doesn't have a star on the walk of fame, especially considering some of the people who do have stars.

The process is that the public request people to be given a star, then they decide who to offer them to. The star then has to pay for their own star. So I was wondering whether he's ever been offered a spot on the walk, and refused, or whether he's never been nominated.

Anyone know?

Usually an artist's PR firm contacts the agency responsible for getting a star put there and the artist pays the sum required. You'll notice these ceremonies are conducted in conjunction with some new project coming out.

Perhaps Prince just isn't interested.He doesn't need a lousy stinkin' star to be remembered.

I used to upset that he didn't have a star and Paula abdul had one,but I am happy now.It's totally lost any integrity it used to have.They have stars from people no one even knows now!!It's a total farce now.There are legit names honored there,but most are not worthy.

what's wrong with paula abdul ? she had some great songs in the eighties . and she's also now doing well for herself as a pop idol judge .

Sadly , apart from this website , nobody cares about Prince now . As Spinal Tap says , he now resides in the " where are they now ? " file
