When did you ever hear of a Prince album being pushed back?

Ok, we're used to endless delays and all, waiting for a cd
for over a year is nothing these days with the npgmc.

What gave it away for me is that they decided to make some
kind of statement about it this time. AND offer a free tune
for the inconvenience.

To me, that simply screams "deleted, permanently".

I mean, if it was a production problem, they would simply
make us wait another 6 months without explanation, like
they always do.

I wonder what's in the can this time to make them scrap
this. Perhaps the major label he's playing with to get
his new video and album out said "Hmm, don't go and spoil
things by releasing a 7 cd set and confusing people at
this stage, let's focus on this new release first and
after that gains some attention, you can get some new
folks to check out your club and then perhaps offer a
new product on there".

Perhaps. Although that seems a bit too sane. It must be
something more unconventional than that.

Perhaps the number 7 is now diabolical or something.

So what - if it's put back, on hold so what - I mean, you don't like it when you are not told, and this time they told you and apologised, and gave you a song... blimey - it is Prince's/Universal's business perogative to delay things/not release things - stop bloody whining like a baby, and just accept it. Prince's output is phenomonal as it is, and so many say that it is too proloific, I mean can the man win NO!

Actually I don't even have a problem with the set not being
in store since I already have all the songs and some of the
albums 2 or 3 times.

I'm not complaining about output or anything, just the way

Isn't this like the umpteenth time they've had problems getting an album released? Prince has some seriously bad luck...

Remember the New Funk Sampling Series? That was what, 6 or 7 CDs or something like that? I suppose that was delayed, 2 - right?

I think bitching and whining about Prince's shortcomings and communication difficulties should be held as a new human right, recognized as such by the UN's Universal Human Rights Convention of December 10, 1948. I think I'm going to file a request with Kofi today (well, maybe Monday).
