And while I know lovebizarre said above that she doesn't think Prince is aware of the bullsh*t that's going on over at the club, and while I am not disrespecting her opinions or their validity (I hope she is right in fact), it's still very hard for me to understand how Prince, who is such a control freak in basically every other aspect of his life, isn't aware of what these people are saying and doing, in HIS name, on HIS own music club website. Why would he *choose* to remain in the dark about what goes on there and just allow them free reign? I don't understand. He's never been that way anywhere else in his professional life, and he is savvy and narcissistic enough to realize that if his name is attached to something, that HE"S the one who it's going to ultimately reflect back upon. The club is part of his professional image..why would he consciously choose to disregard how said club may affect his image and just let them do what they want?? I would just be very interested to know why he'd make the choice to distance himself from his own club website to the point where he actually has no clue or idea what is happening there. Maybe he is aware of what's going on and has done a complete 360 of what I've been told he believes...that's quite possible, now that I think of it. I admit I drank the purple kool aid and am not ashamed of it...I will probably drink some more until I quit this stupid addiction...and yeah its a place for folks to clown me and say "haha! see told ya! "..but I will still praise the music etc... I praised in his home-sanctuary and got clwoned by its owners etc..ironic aint it? I feel Ive been one of the ones who have had his back for years etc hence the namecheck demand lol...but..I never said I had no beef with some of Princes tatics and endeavors over the years..Ive only stated things from as an objective view as I could..Ive clowned prettyman many many times..I feel 50-50 split on good points and bad points... and even with this seemingly final act of spitting in my face by them, I may still not lose my inspiration his music gives me and write about it...its just discouraging, which was my point as I am beginning despise elemts of his nature now. I am NOT discouraged at my objectivity and all that entailed. Aint no shame in my game because I did and do what I say and write from somewhere where I feel stands for some integrity as with all things I do, even outside of Princes purple sickness. honestly.. I dont think anyone cared.. As Ive always stated, I think it did cause a controversy..it is his most controversial album, forget Contorversy. TRC was the cd that split his fans in half..the what is seen as overt religion on the disc among other things (Family Name) etc, caused the biggest uproar within his fans at least since the eighties with ATWIAD and PR leaving his funk fans behind..even more controversial than NewPiowerSoul release. but! with that being said, PRINCE AND COMPANY ARE THE ONES WHO MARKETED TRC AS "CONTROVERSIAL NEW CD" ETC!!!...h.p.o.c.r.i.t.i.c.a.l!!!...and what I wrote did not just focus on the contorversy as I was accused of..I wrote talking about the controversy but also from an artistic perpsective and how his other releases differed from anything else he had ever done..they only focused on some "not there" negative stance that I NEVER took.
