I barely listen 2 my purple rain CD either, but I don't think I could ever prt with it . I like 2 keep all my stuff 2gether, and if I got rid of one my CD's I would feel like a Mother who's giving away one child but deciding 2 keep all the rest and that ain't right . Just my theology on things .

...but today i went to cheapo to sell a few cds to get some money. two of the cds i sold were the girl 6 soundtrack and the purple rain soundtrack.

girl 6 i didn't even listen to anymore, cuz i've got most of the tracks on some of the bootleggs/albums i've gotten over the years (when i first got the album i didn't even have bootleggage).

as for pr, i got that cd back when i started gettin into prince and gettin his back catalogue of stuff about 4 years ago. i used to listen to it pretty frequently, but within the past couple years i've listened to it less and less and less. to date, i haven't listened to pr in over 9 months. i decided to sell it as well; it was basically sittin in my cd case, dormant and collectin a nice layer of dust.

i feel pretty damned good about gettin rid of it, too. it's not totally out of the picture, cuz i still have the movie. eh, i suppose that's why i gave up the cd...i watched the movie a helluva lot more than i listened to the cd, and i even watch the movie itself in moderation (i have to be in a certain mood in order to watch it anyway).


still feels great to be rid of it, tho'.

Well if you ever feel the urge to listen to them again you can come over to my place and listen to them. I have them both on CD and on my ipod. Hell i will even go so far as to serve you chicken soup and chili sauce!!!
