I sorta understand.Even though PR is a landmark for our history and music history...it is my least favorite album.I love it and understand it's greatness,but it also reminds me of how things changed after that.It doesn't even seem real sometimes.Prince was on top?

I like the long versions and stuff,but if I never hear the title song again it will be too soon.It just seems like ..like Titanic to me.It's so big and so unreal...so impersonal ,ina way.That's because Prince was mine athen he became everybody elses'.We understood each other.When I was feeling out of place I had Dm and some of the claustrophobic sounds of 1999 to hang with me.


When I watch the Syracuse PR show I almost get embarrassed.Who was that guy fawning for those "fake" fans/?It was all Vegas showtime.And I know that's why Prince had to get out!!He could've milked that whole thing much more.

Everything leading up to PR was sheer genius and perfection.It was a part of me.This freak spoke to the inner freak in me.Then we put on the tails and the top hat and sang ,"mammy!!".

It wasn't all bad.I don't mean it to sound that way.Itw as excitinga nd i have fonde memories and so forth.it just changed Prince and it changed me ,too.

I have a scratched copy of PR.I have never thought twice about buying a new copy.Part of me says,"fuck Purple Rain!!".Hell,but I'll buy any anniversary edition stuff that comes out so,who am I foolin'?

I went and sold all of my 12 and 7 inch singles a few years ago. I had taped all of them if they differed from the albums, so I was okay for quite a while. I still have all of my albums, though. For You through Graffiti Bridge. Then I have them again on tape, then again on CD...

i can c whare ur coming from i recently got pr at a local
retail store on dvd. i like 2 just hear it sometimes so i play the dvd instead of my pr cd . i would love 2 have sign o the times on dvd any idea whare i can get this
