...but today i went to cheapo to sell a few cds to get some money. two of the cds i sold were the girl 6 soundtrack and the purple rain soundtrack.

girl 6 i didn't even listen to anymore, cuz i've got most of the tracks on some of the bootleggs/albums i've gotten over the years (when i first got the album i didn't even have bootleggage).

as for pr, i got that cd back when i started gettin into prince and gettin his back catalogue of stuff about 4 years ago. i used to listen to it pretty frequently, but within the past couple years i've listened to it less and less and less. to date, i haven't listened to pr in over 9 months. i decided to sell it as well; it was basically sittin in my cd case, dormant and collectin a nice layer of dust.

i feel pretty damned good about gettin rid of it, too. it's not totally out of the picture, cuz i still have the movie. eh, i suppose that's why i gave up the cd...i watched the movie a helluva lot more than i listened to the cd, and i even watch the movie itself in moderation (i have to be in a certain mood in order to watch it anyway).

Well they're always in the sales, so you can pick them up for dirt cheap whenever.

I used to sell my old CDs I didn't listen to any more, but there would always be a time years later where I wanted to listen to such and such a song, and I hadn't got it any more, or I'd sold a CD sinlgle that has now become a rare collectors item - So I've learned my lesson. Anything I don't listen to gets stored in the attic, just in case I wanna blow the dust off for a quick spin one day.

For real though, sometimes it's good to clean house. It streamlines your collection.

I'm thinking about selling about 200 of my Prince vinyl soon.

Hey, I just went down to the record store and bought a Purple Rain CD.
and found a neat copy of Girl 6 on CD... All down at cheapos Wow! It was cool!
