Oh, it's marvellous to see Prince can move people. TRC is a superb album, not my favourite, but you know, fellas, there are a lot incredible songs.
My first Prince song was Alphabet St. I was very suprised by Batman Soundtrack (I always thought Prince coulp play the Joker role as better as Nicholson), and the first album I bought Diamonds and Pearls.

OH dear I'm feeling sooo old now, my first was Controversy around 81 when my cousin had it on import in the UK. It blew me away and I quickly got into Dirty Mind then backtracked to For You and Prince, then when 1999 came along...WOW the rest is history, every release, was amazing...up to and including Lovesexy.
The Parade tour was awesome, finally getting to see him live, then SOTT travelling to Germany to see the gig when the UK gigs were cancelled...wish I could still get sooo excited. Don't get me wrong, I loved the ONA gigs last year and still love some trax, but it's just not the same as in the first 10 yesrs or so.IMHO of course.

The only people who know about TRC are hard core Prince fans. The rest of the world thinks he's been retired for many years. They sure ain't missing much.

im in exactly the same boat, im 18 and this year a friend got me into prince. i bought the hits b sides first, which isnt really an album.
my next prince pruchase was TRC which i loved from the moment i put it in my cd player and havent looked back since.
granted that i do also love SOTT and various other albums, but TRC really stands out for me as an almost flawless album and deff my favourite prince album so far( havent gotten everything yet...)
