I love that shooting sound after he says that. I mean, Jesus motherfucking Christ, how spiritually intense and relevant can you fucking get? I must say that I owe much more of my current spiritual leanings to Prince than to the Catholic church I was (sorta) raised in. I definitely don't get that from the current music...well, not true. Beautiful Strange gives me that feeling in spades. Certainly there are others...but I can't get over the fact of his current beliefs. I know that's on me, and whatever, I'm not complaning. Just saying.

It completely boggles the mind why the only official live version of Anna Stesia is converted into a commercial for a website, a record label and an up-and-coming clothing and baby/pet accessory line. The one on Sendai is the most beautiful, devotional music ever encoded into mp3 and downloaded by my happy ass. And he doesn't do a damn COMMERCIAL. Cringe.

But yeah, anyway. Good times... Sometimes I forget how much I love this man's music until I hear something like this and it's like OH SILLY MAN, THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. YOU HAVE TO LOVE MY MUSIC FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. I DO. YOU DON'T. NOW DIE.

Ive never heard Sendei boot but read about it last eyar when it was making the rounds. Yeah thats my point as well..listening to some of his stuff lets me realize Im a lucky oerosn to have his music as part of my life regardless of the other sheanegins that happen..the music is all that matters in the long run. Ask all the naysayers who keep going to his celebrations and buying his music and getting his boots etc.

You totally should, Deja...Anna Stesia before bedtime is a must. Gives you sweet dreams, about being on an airplane and watching yer fellow orgers missing the plane.

I'm having a bit of a Prince smorgasbord tonight. It's been a while for me. I just went from the alternate version of Elephants and Flowers (which I should have posted on the thread about outtake classics, cuzzin DAMN) to No Black MFs In The House (what's the title?) and other selections from Goldnigga. Johnny always makes me feel good. I just downloaded the whole album in sequence, and I've never heard it before...most of the tracks and some of the segues, but still - it's a nice little treat for me at the moment.

This is the only official Prince release I never bought...for about 8 years, because I simply couldn't find it, and lately because I don't want to pay a crazy price for it.

But yeah: STOP RACISM NOW!!
