They're playin here in Santa Monica,Ca. on Haloween night this Friday at a club called Lush, I think..

I hate to admit this but they are really a good cover band. I went with some friends to check them out while we were in Vegas thinking we'd have a good laugh. But they really are a tight band. Very enjoyable.

purple reign - prince tribute


just 2 let peeps know ! in my opinion its worth checkin this band out , because ive been 2 c tribute bands in the uk who have been unbelievably good !

it never crossed my mind 2 c a tribute band until last year i was at a stranglers gig, and i was handed a flier 4 a stranglers tribute the following week , i only went out of curiosity,and was blown away !!! they were sooo good !

ive since been 2 c a jam tribute who were identical in look and sound " a great night out " as long as u dont lose the reality " its just a bit o fun ! "

so i'd check em out !!! only my opinion ofcourse !

I couldn't agree more. Everytime I go to Vegas, I reserve a night just to see Purple Reign. Jason Tenner does a damn good prince... he's even nailed all the guitar solos.

I luv this band. Everytime I go to Vegas I go see them too. You'll be pleasantly surprised. I posted a pic of me and Jason a couple of months ago, but some people made snide remarks about him having hips because of the lighting and the weird way that he was standing so I won't go there again.

Purple Reign was supposed to appear at Chene Park here in Detroit on 23 August, but the deal fell through. Actually the tribute band wasn't really notified of the gig until after tickets went on sale.

The band cancelled a few weeks before their performance. The thing was, the Reign was scheduled to perform in Vegas that night. Conflict.

But I do know of a few motor babies (Mamma Peggy and Mindy C) who have seen the band. They say Purple Reign back in Demember for the Los Angeles/Los Vegas blowout weekend with Prince and The Band.

How much do they charge so you can sit on the stage with them?

Looks like great fun!
