'PRINCE FEST' SEATTLE

I was forwarded the following...does anyone know anything about this? Sounds fun.

***

PRINCE FEST: A celebration of all things Prince-
like
Come and perform your love for Prince.
Contacts: Anna Smith at (206) 322-7030 or

SEATTLE – Prince fans unite! The Richard Hugo
House is in the process of planning PRINCE FEST:
A celebration of all things Prince-like on
November 16. Hugo House is seeking proposals for
people to perform, mount art displays, do
readings, create panel discussions, or any other
event that advances global understanding of
Prince! PRINCE FEST will be a day of events
including a dress-up contest, essay contest,
songs, panel discussions, comics, and much more
all on the subject of Prince. If you are
interested in being a part of PRINCE FEST, send
us a short proposal! Include your background love
or hate for Prince, a description of what your
performance or display would include, and a short
biography of yourself. All proposals due November
3.
Send proposals to Anna Smith.
Some ideas for PRINCE FEST are:

* Art inspired by Prince. There is open
space for an art display influenced by Prince.
Bring in your prints, paintings, photographs, and
more that have been influenced by Prince.
* Prince Theory. The theorist of Prince are
welcomed to come and give a lecture on the
different stages of Madonna and any other
theories about her. This can include a slide
show, panel discussion, or even just ranting
about Prince.
* Prince Haters. Prince haters are also
welcomed to come give a lecture on why they HATE
Prince. Be prepared to defend yourself, there
might be a show down afterwards.
Prince essays and other publications.
Prince essays, fanzines, poetry, short stories,
etc. are welcomed for viewing at PRINCE FEST.
Come give a performance of your creative piece in
any way imaginable.

Anything else you can come up with. Have
more ideas for PRINCE FEST? We will accept just
about anything that you can come up with!
