What album is better to you.. The Gold Experience or Chaos and Disorder? Me, myself, I've grown to love "The Gold Experience". My favorite song on it is P Control..I just like the whole..story to the song.. I really only like one song off of Chaos and Disorder and that is "Dig you better dead"
I dig you better dead, I did you better dead, (I dig you) Song of the day: PartyMan [This message was edited Sat Oct 25 11:48:10 PDT 2003 by angle1234] Peace and Be Wild!!

IMO 'Dig u Better dead' is one of the worst songs on that album along with that other pathetic rap attempt..
I never listen to the last 3 or 4 trax of C&D , its just too bad and that's my opinion ! Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

I've always hated Gold. I hate the NPG band. They sound sounded like the Arsineo Hall house band. I don't love Chaos and Disorder. But I really do like the Dig U Better Dead song. So there.

The Gold Experience is a top 5 Prince album for me. Chaos and Disorder is decent, but it is near the bottom 5.

Welp, someone's gotta be the odd man out.
I understand and appreciate that Gold is a more cohesive album, and I know it's a favorite of many folks around here, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have more fun listening to Chaos. Gold is too slick for me and I hate the segues, though there are a lot of songs on it I like. Chaos is dirtier, nastier, earthier, angrier - it just feels more raucous and risky to me. Yeah, there are some dumb moments on it, but it's a Prince album, what do you expect? Just my personal taste, but yeah - I listen to Chaos much more than I listen to Gold.

I like both. Maybe I prefer a little Gold, but Chaos & Disorder is a marvellous rock-funk album.
And I love "Dig U Better Dead".

Chaos destroys Gold hands down. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

I love both of these records. The song "Gold" is one of my favorite P songs simply because of the message. Chaos & Disorder sounds like a rock demo and I luv it!! I believe he recorded it in 10 days between Miami & Minneapolis. That in itself is amazing because IMO if anyone else had come out with that record, people (especially critics) would have been crapping themselves over the rawness and energy displayed on it.
